What are your products made of?
Every blanket, poncho and shawl is 70% alpaca and 30% acrylic.
Where are they made?
They are handmade by Indigenous artisan communities in northern Ecuador.
Why do colors look a little different from the photos?
Each piece is handmade, so tones can vary slightly from the photos and between screens.
What sizes do you have?
Blankets: Throw is 64 x 45 in (163 x 114 cm); Twin is 75 x 38 in on most products and 70 x 45 in on four reversible designs; Queen is 87 x 64 in. Shawls are 80 x 22 in, or 75 x 25 in on three pieces. The exact size is written on each product page, so check it before you order.
Are the blankets heavy?
No. They are thin and light, and warmer than they look. If you want more weight, layer two.
Will my blanket shed?
Natural fiber can shed a little during the first weeks. A soft-bristle brush removes loose hairs and restores the nap after heavy use. See Care Instructions.
Where do you ship from and what does shipping cost?
Orders ship from a U.S. fulfillment center to addresses in the contiguous United States, and shipping there is free.
Can I return an item?
Yes. You have 30 days to ask for a return, and the customer pays the return label. Your refund is issued within 5 to 10 business days after we receive the item. See our Refund Policy for the steps.
My item arrived damaged or the package did not arrive.
Tell us within 10 days of delivery if an item is damaged, and within 10 business days if a package has not arrived. Write to camilo@alpakitas.com.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, as long as the order has not shipped.
